Short film
Raw Spirit.
The story.
The Saintelyon is one of Europe's most iconic night ultra-trails: 78 kilometres between Saint-Étienne and Lyon, run in the cold, the dark, and the company of six thousand other runners. TA and Petzl asked us to capture not the race itself, but the spirit of those who line up at the start, fueled by their nutrition and lit by their lamps.
Our approach.
We embedded a small crew in the pre-race gathering, in the buses, on the road and at the finish line. No staged shots, no scripted voice-overs, just the runners as they prepared, started, struggled and finished. The film is short, almost silent, and lets the night do most of the talking, with TA's nutrition rituals and Petzl's headlamps weaving naturally into the story.
Outcome.
A 90-second piece released across TA's and Petzl's social channels in the days following the race, plus a long-form edit shown internally to both brand teams. The campaign felt true to the runners because it was made with them, not about them.
